The Idler Academy decamps from W2 and brings its finest tutors and masters to Wilderness for a series of improving talks and classes.
Our lecturers include:
Metereology expert Mr Gavin Pretor-Pinney of the Cloud Appreciation Society;
Robin Harford the foraging expert;
Sports master Ben Moor who will be leading a team of Academy pupils in a game of Frisbee Tree Golf;
Utopian Advisor Dr David Bramwell;
Renowned hedgehog expert Hugh Warwick;
John-Paul Flintoff, North London's own Gandhi, author of Sew Your Own;
Lucy Cooke, world-renowned authority on the habits of the sloth;
Dr Mark Vernon with a class on ancient philosophy,
and fashion historian NJ Stevenson with a glorious slideshow. Your hosts are Head Master Tom Hodgkinson and Head Mistress Victoria Hull, and there will be cakes, coffees, fine teas and instructive second-hand books for sale in the tuck shop and common room.
