The museum’s Dandy corner is dedicated to the greatest Dandy’s of the twentieth century, starting with extensive material relating to Stephen Tennant, including much original artwork, cover designs for books he never got round to finishing, and an archive of correspondence, childhood drawings, bills, scrapbooks and other ephemera.  There are drawings of Quentin Crisp by his old friend Mervyn Peake when the former was life modelling – the Naked Civil Servant – in Peake’s class at Central.   The Sebastian Horsley Cabinet is centred around a magnificent sequined Savile Row Suit, the nails he used to have himself crucified with in the Philippines and discarded heroin syringes
