Twin Peaks with Dr. Lindsay Hallam – LIVE
Come and join us for an evening that promises to be both wonderful and strange, as we take a deep dive into the world of Twin Peaks.
The Twin Peaks universe is a vast one, encompassing many realms, forms and iterations.
What began as a simple investigation into “Who Killed Laura Palmer?” soon took us to a place of dreams and nightmares, across dimensions and across time. This talk with explore the original show, the prequel film Fire Walk With Me, and the 2017 cable television series Twin Peaks: The Return, examining its many mysteries and horrors, as well as the pop culture phenomenon that surrounds it.
Dr Lindsay Hallam
Dr Lindsay Hallam is a Senior Lecturer in Film at the University of East London. She is the author of Screening the Marquis de Sade: Pleasure, Pain and the Transgressive Body in Film (2012), Devil’s Advocates – Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (2018) and is currently researching a monograph on revenge in Australian horror cinema. She has published several articles on Twin Peaks and David Lynch films, and was a keynote speaker at the Canonizing David Lynch conference at the University of Siegen in 2019.
