At Yuletide we do all we can to brighten our lives in the darkest month of the year. We might bring evergreens into the homes as we enter the time of frost and snow. We put up sparkling lights, eat, drink and try to make merry, but our ancestors knew much of this was in the face of grimmer folklore and the harsh realities of winter. Join witch Lucya Starza for this talk about the customs, tales and rituals for the Winter Solstice and Christmas, as well as some practical magic for the season and traditional divination for New Year’s Eve.
